Apprentice IT Technician

IT Champion is looking for an apprentice IT Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will join 8 other members of the team who have joined as apprentices and have progressed through the company as we have grown.

The successful candidate will have an interest in technology and above all, wants to start their career in the IT industry.

IT Champion is an independent IT support and solutions provider with clients located across the South West. Established since 2009, with a strong team ethos, we provide IT Support to businesses of all types ranging from 2 employees to 500 employees.

We are looking for someone to assist the IT Support team in all aspects of maintaining and providing IT services to our clients, who see us as the primary contact when they experience technical issues, problems and for general enquiries.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Installing and configuring PCs and Laptops for business use
  • Upgrading or installing Windows, and business software such as Microsoft Office 365 and Antivirus tools
  • Installing hardware, printers/scanners/wireless routers etc.
  • Providing support via the phone to help resolve problems
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles as well as building new PC systems for users
  • Deal with logging problems, escalating to 2nd and 3rd line where needed
  • General office duties

ABOUT YOU:

To be an IT Support Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C) including Maths and English. We expect the following skills and personal qualities.

  • Ability to demonstrate and practice common sense

IT Champion is looking for a 1st Line IT Technician to join our team. We’d like the candidate to have at least one year’s work experience in a similar role, and a full and valid driving licence would be preferable.

Business Development Trainee

We are looking for someone who loves technology and enjoys talking to people about it.

IT Champion is an independent IT support and solutions provider with clients located across the South West. Established since 2009, with a strong team ethos, we provide IT Support to businesses of all types ranging from 2 employees to 500 employees.

We are looking for an individual to join our business development team to learn all aspects of our IT services, expertise and solutions so that you can articulate them to our clients. Full training will be supplied with this role. Time will be allocated for you to work in all our departments, so you gain a greater understanding of our business before joining the business development team.

Ideally you will have previous experience in sales or customer service and you will be able to apply this knowledge to the IT industry. Alongside this, you will be motivated and pro-active in your approach to work in order to drive business promoting our products and services to clients of all sizes. You will be confident in your ability to build and maintain customer relationships and in turn you will have the opportunity to market the Company in a competitive arena.

Finance Assistant – Part Time – Flexible working

IT Champion is looking for a part time Finance Assistant to join our busy Accounts Department.

We are an independent IT support and solutions provider with clients located across the South West. Established since 2009, with a strong team ethos, we provide IT Support to businesses of all types ranging from 2 employees to 500 employees.

JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION

Specifically reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will consist of the following tasks:

  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Creating and maintaining repeating sales invoices
  • Bank, petty cash and credit card reconciliations
  • Credit control
  • Performing other duties that correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

To be the successful Finance Assistant, you will have experience of working in a finance, accountancy or business administration setting, working as part of a team and the ability to prioritise work load. Ideally you possess some of the following key skills:

  • Previous experience in a junior Finance role
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter who can work on their own initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to help maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Good Excel skills
  • Experience using accounting software
